It was a beautiful sunny day on the 17th July and it couldn’t have worked out better for Kat and Matt’s beautiful wedding at Cripps Barn right in the heart of the Cotswold’s.
The day started at The Inn at Fossebridge where I met Kat and her lovely bridesmaids as well as Matt and his Groomsmen to capture all the morning preparations. We even had Kat and Matt’s beautiful and very dapper dog there too!
The morning went by in a flash (excuse the pun!) as it was such a relaxed and fun atmosphere at the hotel. Kat looked absolutely stunning as did the bridesmaids and I knew before I had even reached the venue that this wedding was going to have to feature on my blog. Matt didn’t scrub up too badly either and I loved Matt’s tartan waistcoat and matching ties for the ushers.
I have to give a big mention to the very talented Jo Copsey from Aqua Flowers too as the bouquets and buttonholes were fantastic.
I left everyone briefly to get myself to the venue to make sure I captured all the other details before guests started to arrive and as always, I was blown away by the stunning Cripps Barn. I have had to include a photo of the sign that I clocked when I arrived too as this was the first ever wedding I had been to where there was a completely tech free ceremony. I never normally mind sharing the bride and groom with all their guests during the ceremony as everyone wants to capture such a special moment but it was quite nice to have them all to myself!
As the day went on and we got to the welcome drinks and group shots, it was very clear that this was a fun crowd and Matt and Kat weren’t expecting any formal photos. It was a real pleasure to meet all of their friends and family as they couldn’t have made me feel more welcome.
I tend to say this a lot when writing for my blogs but I really really struggle choosing my favourites to be included and Matt and Kat’s wedding photos were no exception. They were just so photogenic and there are so many amazing backdrops at Cripps too that my list of favourites just kept growing and growing.
A massive thank you to Kat and Matt and to all the awesome suppliers, family and friends that helped make their day so special. It is definitely one I will never forget.
